The 2020 theme for National Farm Safety & Health Week is "Every Farmer Counts". It reminds us that it is in everyone's best interest to prioritize the health and safety of those who work so hard to provide our abundant supply of food, fiber, and fuel. For this reason, Leavenworth County Farm Bureau is working with The Sophia Center in Lansing, KS to offer free mental health screenings to ag producers and the community in the coming weeks. The screenings will last 15-20 minutes and will provide wellness guidance. To schedule an appointment, please contact The Sophia Center at 913-293-7494 or email debshaddy@gmail.com. Individuals must be 18 years of age or older to participate. To learn more about The Sophia Center, please visit deborahshaddy.com.
