Who We Are

Leavenworth County Farm Bureau Association is a grass-roots agricultural organization.  Our mission is to serve Farm Bureau members in Leavenworth County through programs, products and services which: 
* Meet the needs of our members
* Enhance the profession of farming
* Educate Kansans about agriculture
* Increase members' net income
* Improve the quality of life in Kansas
 
Leavenworth County Farm Bureau began over 112 years ago as one of the first organizations in the United States to undertake representation of farmers and ranchers while embracing Extension work.  Its Kansas beginning stems from the formation in 1912 of the Progressive Agricultural Club of Leavenworth which specifically funded a county demonstration agent.

What began as a vision to improve agriculture through a cooperative effort of farmers and businessmen is now Leavenworth County Farm Bureau with 2195 member families.
