Leavenworth County Farm Bureau Association is a grass-roots agricultural organization.  Our mission is to serve Farm Bureau members in Leavenworth County through programs, products and services which:

*Provide superior value in the marketplace
*Improve the quality of life in Kansas
 
            Leavenworth County Farm Bureau began over 100 years ago as one of the first organizations in the United States to undertake representation of farmers and ranchers while embracing Extension work.          Its Kansas beginning stems from the formation in 1912 of the Progressive Agricultural Club of Leavenworth which specifically funded a county demonstra- tion agent.
            Other Kansas counties followed this lead, and the county agent, a person with five years of farming experience and college training, was generally provided by the dean of Extension at Kansas State Agricultural College.
            And the rest they say is history. What began as a vision to improve agriculture through a cooperative effort of farmers and businessmen is now Leavenworth County Farm Bureau with 2,054  member families. 
            While many changes have occurred during Leavenworth County’s 100+ years as a farmer/rancher member organization, through each and every transition, Farm Bureau’s purpose as a farm organization has remained the same: “To enhance the business and profession of farming, increase members’ net income, provide superior value in the marketplace and improve the quality of life in Kansas.”
            Today under the leadership of Chris Campbell, president, Leavenworth County Farm Bureau provides legislative representation and a host of other member benefits.
